ProjectionHub’s existing business forecast financial model allows you to enter in historical financial information and use that as a baseline to forecast the future:

• Projected future fixed asset purchases
• Existing loans and planned future loans
• Up to 5 years of historic revenue data by different revenue source categories
• Predicted revenue by different revenue sources for the next 5 years
• Ability to add in current year revenue by month
• Projected Expenses & COGS can be based on historical actuals or new estimated monthly expenses

Then, the template will generate:

When projecting revenue for an existing business expansion, it makes sense to start with the historical financials.  Our template gives you the ability to create a base to project off of using your historical financials.  You can input up to 5 years of historical data including monthly detail for the current year.  From there you can select how you would like to project revenue for each revenue line item.  Your revenue forecasting options include:

• Annualize current year revenue
• An Average of previous years
• Manually set a base monthly revenue projection

Once you have a base monthly revenue calculated, you can increase or decrease each revenue line by a percentage or manually forecast revenue based upon your businesses planned expansion. 

Then, you can use the Actuals Input tab to track your actual revenue performance which will generate an updated income statement to compare against your projected income statements.

Similar to the revenue forecast, you will be able to establish a base level of expenses and costs of goods sold (COGS) for each expense based on historical data or manual entry. From there you can increase or decrease expense line items by a percentage, or forecast expense line items as a percentage of revenue so you can scale your expenses as you expand the business.

Then, on the actuals tab, you can input, track, and compare your expense and COGS data to your projected expenses by reviewing the real time generated income statement.

In the general assumptions tab, you will input important details such as your existing fixed assets, current assets, and loans. Then you will also be able to add any fixed assets to be purchased as well as any future loans or additional investments. The template will then automatically build your financial statements including your balance sheet which will always balance.
